Save Venice celebrates 40 years

Tuesday, July 19, 2011

Long thought to be the “Jewel of the Adriatic”, Venice, Italy is undoubtedly one of the most magical cities in the world. Save Venice Inc, a New York based organization, has been working towards preserving and restoring art and architecture in the Italian city for 40 years now, and to celebrate this milestone they will be releasing a limited edition book that highlights the works they have been involved with. The limited edition, silk-covered book comes with a silver plate designed by Venetian jeweler Alberto Nardi and will retail for a cool $1000. But for those of us who appreciate the beauty of these masterworks, a hard cover and soft cover edition will be available, ranging from $65-$200.

A launch party will take place at Sotheby’s in the early Fall to celebrate the release of this beautiful addition to every art lovers coffee table.
