East meets West as Singapore’s Golden Jubilee Showcase comes to New York City from Sept. 12-27, celebrating its 50th Anniversary. Through a series of immersive events, including food tastings, art showcases, music performances, and fashion spreads, New Yorkers will have the opportunity to experience a glimpse of Singapore’s vision for the next 50 years as the creative industries push forward.

Some cultural events to look forward to include:

Singapore Restaurant Week (Sept. 18-27) – 20 top New York restaurants including DB Bistro, Red Farm, Market Table, The Clam, The Meatball Shop and more to create Singaporean-inspired dishes and cocktails. Additionally, experience more Singaporean culinary delights with a hawker (street food) pop-up truck in Flatiron, September 23-27 and SG50 Test Kitchen events with a NY celebrity chef. At various locations.

Singapore Art & Feast at Bergdorf Goodman (Sept. 20-27) – New York’s iconic department store to feature 16-page fashion spread in September issue of Bergdorf Goodman magazine in tandem with a special window display featuring famed Singaporean photographer, John Clang’s work for two-weeks. Singaporean fare to be highlighted at BG Restaurant, Sept 20-27 with top Singaporean guest chef.  Located at 5th Avenue and 58th Street.

“Something to Write Home About” (Sept. 12-22) – a 10-day art event in New York City led by US-based Singaporeans showcasing short films, visual arts and theater.  Located at La MaMa, 66 East 4th Street – Mezzanine Level 1 (between 2nd Avenue & The Bowery).

Zouk Singapore presents Lincey at LAVO (Sept. 26) – Guest DJ Lincey from one of Singapore’s most iconic nightclubs Zouk to host a night at LAVO Italian Restaurant & Nightclub New York.  Located at 39 East 58th Street at 11PM.

Shake Shack Hearts Singapore (Sept. 24- 27) – VIP private reception for the finale SG50 event in NYC will feature the first-ever Singaporean-inspired burger at Shake Shack. Special Singaporean custard to be available for all New Yorkers starting Sept 24th.

Singapore: Inside Out at Madison Square Park (Sept. 23-27) – finale SG50 event culminates with an international traveling creative showcase featuring a collection of multi-sensorial experiences designed by Singapore’s contemporary creative talents. Located in Madison Square Park on 23rd Street and 5th Ave.
