We let them dance for us, we let them try. No surprise that they delighted you and I.

New York City Ballet’s principal dancer Ashley Bouder gave Youth America Grand Prix’s (YAGP) First Position Club members a peak of her new choreography for an upcoming collaboration with The New York Jazzharmonic, in New York City Center’s studios. Ashley walked the audience through her technique and process while NYCB corps de ballet members Ashley Hod and Devin Alberda performed.

Following the performance Ashley’s patrons Joanna and Brian Fisher hosted a reception at their Park Avenue duplex. Guest included Sharon Bush,  Amy Fine Collins, Layla Diba, Linda Fell, Kim and Mason Granger, Judith M. Hoffman, Elbrun and Peter Kimmelman, William Ivey Long,  Emily Reifel, Sana Sabbagh, Irene Shen, Elizabeth Papadopolous and John Sills, Kay Tien, Barbara and Donald Tober, Elizabeth Camp and George Van der Ploeg, Adrienne and Gianluigi Vittadini and YAGP Board Chair Linda K. Morse.

YAGP currently has over 250 alumni dancing in 50 companies around the world including New York City Ballet, Marinsky Theatre, and Stuttgart Ballet. YAGP’s mission is to support and develop world-class dancers (ages 9 – 19) of all ethnic backgrounds by providing scholarships, auditions, education, performance opportunities, and by serving as the global network of dance; connecting students, teachers, schools, dancers, dance companies and audiences.
