Good news for all the dog and cat lovers out there: Shelter Chic, a revolutionary (and stylish!) nonprofit animal rescue group, is opening their first boutique in TriBeCa.

Co-founded by Brittany Feldman and Amanda Folk, Shelter Chic launched last year and aims to attract the public to shelters instead of buying pets from stores and breeders. In addition to helping furry friends get adopted, the organization brings about a fun and heartwarming experience throughout the process—their animals are usually dressed up in adorable outfits and accessories. A cat in glasses anyone? Or perhaps a dog in a tutu? The organization is always looking for more fosters and is currently traveling in Puerto Rico with the Animal Lighthouse Rescue group to bring back dogs in need of homes.

The opening of Shelter Chic’s boutique will also be a go-to site where animals can get adopted. There will be a selection of items available for purchase from animal clothing to home items and little trinkets. The best part of all? 100% of the income from sales will benefit the rescue organization.

Stop by and shop at Shelter Chic’s boutique grand opening next Saturday, October 3 between 12-8pm at 79 Chambers Street. For more info, visit shelterchic.org.
