At the Shinola store yesterday afternoon, the Shinola brand and Oscar de la Renta previewed their collaborative watch collection. De la Renta teamed up with the Detroit-based watch and leather goods company to create “The Lattice.”

The Lattice is a limited collection of no more than 1,000 watches. There are two different versions available—one with 68 diamonds and an alligator strap and one without diamonds with either a red or blue alligator strap.

Shinola is known for a masculine aesthetic but this design is quite feminine, very de la Renta-esque. It was inspired by de la Renta’s jewelry collection. Its name, The Lattice, comes from the featured design made of sapphire crystal and mother of pearl.

Many supporters and loyal customers came to the preview to show their support for these two brands and their approval of The Lattice design. Some of these supporters included Vogue’s senior accessories editor Rickie De Sole Webster, Erika Bearman, CEO of Oscar de la Renta Alex Bolen, and Adam Glassman. This is definitely a luxury watch you don’t want to miss out on AVENUE insiders.
