Sneak peek: Karl Lagerfeld for Macy’s

Thursday, August 4, 2011

Last night, Yellow Korner gallery in Soho was filled with eager editors (ourselves included) who showed up for a glimpse of the much anticipated collection from Karl Lagerfeld for Macy’s. Spotted: Vogue‘s Meredith Melling Burke (with adorable daughter in tow), super stylist Annabel Tollman, Lynn Yaeger and Jill Zarin.

Life-size photos of Coco Rocha sporting the collection were also scattered about the room, as they are part of the ad campaign, and every where you looked was an image of Lagerfeld, lest we forget who we were there for (not likely).

Mannequins and models displayed about 15 looks–many were Lagerfeld’s signature styles: turtleneck dresses, crisp white shirts and high collars abound–with a color palette of pinks, greys, black and white; and perfect-for-fall fabrics such as tweed and leather.¬† We particularly fancied the faux-leather pants and a flirty floral top. You can make your decision when the collection hits stores on August 31st…
