Somewhere over the Rainbow City

Thursday, June 16, 2011

Rainbow City has come to the Big Apple, and the undeniably adorable art installation by artist collective Friends with You, situated on the newly developed Chelsea Highline is only upping the cute-factor. Allow me to introduce you to the Rainbow City pop-up shop. Featuring exclusive Rainbow City items, the space (which looks like something out of the Peewee Herman Show) was designed by renowned architecture firm HWKN who, appropriately, boast a mandate of “making the impossible possible.”

All available merchandise is exclusive to AOL and the Rainbow City experience, but don’t fret if you can’t make it down to the High Line this summer! All is not lost! All of the products are also available on the Friends With You online store. But take this Insider’s advice and get your tushes down to this Wonderland hiding within the concrete jungle.
