Last Sunday, Corcoran Group and Village Latch Inn toasted to the Southampton Animal Shelter Foundation (SASF) in advance of their Unconditional Love Gala, which will take place on July 20th.  Village Latch Inn owners Marta and Martin White and Corcoran broker Esther Paster welcomed SASF Event Chairwoman Jean Shafiroff, Honorary Chair Susan Allen, Southampton Animal Shelter Foundation’s President Jonathan McCann and nearly 100 guests to the historic Hamptons property, which is on the market for $23 million.  Supporters including Pandora Biddle and her daughter Yvie Hentic, Dr. Kenneth Mark, Alice Judelson and Alex Cecil congratulated NBC’s Award Winning Animal Advocate & Best Selling Author Jill Rappaport who will be honored at this year’s Gala.  Guests sampled wines from Empire State Cellars and treats from Seasons of Southampton while taking in the expansive property and Sintessi jewels from Michel Piranesi.  Also in attendance were Lisa Simonsen, Cole Rumbough, Christopher Pape, Elaine Sargent and Gregory Speck.

The Southampton Town Shelter was about to close its doors in 2010, when a group of local caring citizens stepped in and created the Southampton Animal Shelter Foundation. There were 225 animals housed at the time and about to be dispersed to other shelters. There would be no place for the homeless strays or lost pets to go. This dedicated group created an award winning shelter and non-profit known nationwide for its innovative programs.
