Not all heroes wear capes . . . or have opposable thumbs! At its annual Living Legends Luncheon, the Animal Medical Center honored three special companion animals. Held at The Harmonie Club on May 9, the event was attended by nearly 200 (human) guests, and has raised nearly $300,000 over its nine-year run. The luncheon was chaired by Dorothy Goldstein, Alison Minton, Kane Nussbaum, Joanne Ronson, Carol Sandow, Petra Slater, Helene Stein, Marquam Wolfe and Janet York.
