They say bad things come in threes, but every now and then the universe gets it right. The First Triumvirate of Supermodels—Naomi Campbell, Linda Evangelista and Christy Turlington—rose to power in the early Nineties, and they have expanded their careers to every corner of the globe since. But it’s Christy, who tacked on a surname after she married actor and director Ed Burns in 2003, who most embodies our great city. Whether she’s running in the New York City Marathon, shining in an ad campaign for Bloomingdale’s, or hosting an event for her non-profit organization, Every Mother Counts, Tribeca resident and permanent fixture on AVENUE’s Power Elite list Christy Turlington Burns epitomizes New York City style.
