Super Saturday is back this weekend

Thursday, July 24, 2014

It’s that time of year again, Super Saturday time!! Super Saturday is a fun-filled, family-oriented daylong fundraiser. It’s the only garage sale of its kind featuring designer merchandise, along with a kids’ carnival and activities, a luxury raffle and delicious gourmet treats. It has been dubbed the “Rolls Royce of garage sales.” I don’t know about you, but that sounds like my kind of shopping ride.

The Ovarian Cancer Research Fund’s 17th annual Super Saturday benefit will take place this Saturday in Water Mill. This year’s hosts, Kelly Ripa and Donna Karan, are sure to make it one happenin’¬†garage sale, living up to its world famous reputation.

Lots of big name guests are expected to attend including Kelly Rutherford, Lisa Rinna, Gayle King, Jill Martin, Joe Zee, Chef Janine Booth, Katie Lee, Beth Stern, Nanette Lepore, Jessica Hart, Star Jones, June Ambrose, Rachel Zoe, Fern Mallis, George Stephanopoulos, Ali Wentworth, Kristin Chenoweth, Ben Shenkman and Adam Pally.

The most anticipated element of Super Saturday is hands down the fashion garage sale. Featuring merchandise from over 200 prominent designers including Donna Karan, Ralph Lauren, INTERMIX, Alice + Olivia, Scoop NYC, Diane von Furstenberg, Vince, IRO, Alexis Bittar, Bonpoint, Haute Hippie, Nanette Lepore, Milly, Theory, Elie Tahari, Vilebrequin, J Brand and Helmut Lang.

Decades founder himself, Cameron Silver, will be curating “Cameron’s Corner” which provides a mix of vintage and modern. Rachel Zoe will have her booth, “Designers A to Zoe,” for the seventh consecutive year. This year she will have a tantalizing compilation of her favorite luxury designers including Etro, J. Mendel, Oscar de la Renta, Prabal Gurung, Proenza Schouler and Stella McCartney.

This year’s sponsor QVC will be partnering with OCRF to air a live, on-site broadcast from 2-4 pm EST that will offer viewers the chance to purchase premier fashion, beauty, jewelry, accessories and home items for half the suggested retail price, with all net proceeds benefitting OCRF. Along with shopping, guests will be able to indulge in pampering activities. Priy’s Braid Bar will be offering fresh summer hairstyles and Betsy Wahmann will be offering psychic readings. They’ll also be able to take selfies at the Rolls Royce photo booth, which they can share. For each shared photo, Rolls Royce will make a donation to OCRF.

Don’t miss out on one of the world’s greatest shopping events for a beautiful cause.
