Saturday on Shelter Island, Sylvester Manor held its annual Farm to Table Dinner. This event is held to showcase the Manor and formal garden, which is in its first stages of restoration. It also raises funds for the organization.

The dinner usually features in-season produce from the farm along with other meats and wines raised and harvested on the East End.

This is a fairly recent tradition on Shelter Island and the Manor staff was excited to welcome back guests to their 2014 benefit.

Sylvester Manor is an educational farm whose mission is to cultivate, preserve, and share its lands, building and stories; inviting new thoughts about the importance of food, culture and place in your daily life. Their staff envisions a farm, a community and a world where people celebrate food, arts and inventiveness every day with a spirit of fairness and joy.

The event was open for ticket holders only but still the guest list was packed with VIPs. Including Knoll CEO Andrew Cogan, fashion model Cecilia Dean, Eben Fiske Ostby, Russell Piccione, and Samuel Seymour.
