Dennis Basso's show vibrated, appropriately enough, with pulsing loud bass as his statuesque models showed postcard-motif evening dresses and the sumptuous furs that have made him a favorite of the uptown set.  From Nina Griscom and Nicky Hilton Rothschild and her sister Paris Hilton, they came out to cheer their homie.  Also in the audience, cookbook author and host-with-the-most Alex Hitz, who took our Fall Winter 2017 fashion quiz.

They seem to be becoming outmoded because of the Internet, but like the movies, there's no substitute for the here-it-is live aspect.
