Last night, close friends and family gathered at Mr. Chow at the W Hotel to celebrate Michael Chow’s upcoming exhibition, Voice For My Father. The exhibit will open at The Andy Warhol Museum in February 2016, commemorating Chow’s father, Zhou Xin Fang’s life and his immense contribution to the cultural and artistic development of China. Xin Fang’s posthumous 120th birthday was celebrated earlier this year both in Shanghai and Beijing. The exhibit will feature Chow’s own large-scale paintings, portraits by major artists, and archival imagery of his father.

Fans of Chow’s art include Keith Haring, David Hockney, Helmut Newton, and Andy Warhol himself.  Of course, “casual dinner” is in the eye of the beholder, and this one included a breathtaking performance by Italian tenor Vittorio Grigolo, accompanied by pianist Vincenzo Scalera. Beijing Opera stars Hongsong Dong, Yi Guo, and Hui Tian along with violinist Mei Yang also shared their talents on stage, honoring both Chow and his legendary father.
