The former CEO of Anne Klein and a Calvin Klein executive, Andrew Rosen (a third generation fashion heir) is the co-founder and President of the major retail brand Theory—a force that generates more than $500 million a year in revenue. His fashion empire was built on the theory that clothes can be practical and stylish. With a keen eye for rising talent, Rosen enlisted the help of then-budding designer Olivier Theyskens to design for Theory and serve as Artistic Director of the entire brand, to add freshness and edge. Rosen is also an investor in a handful of fashion upstarts such as Alice + Olivia and Rag & Bone, while staying very involved with the re-launch of Helmut Lang. In July, Rosen and his business associate John Howard purchased a large stake in Proenza Schouler from the Valentino Fashion Group.
