The summertime is always great for family bonding and getting in some fun with the youngsters! Big-name moms came out with their children on Saturday to the Children’s Museum of the East End’s 5th Annual Family Fair. The fair, which took place from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm at the museum in Bridgehampton, took on an “Around the World” theme. The fair featured arts and crafts, a water-slide, games, and music to entertain the bright-eyed kids in attendance. The kids were given “passports” upon arrival and were encouraged to fill them with stamps by participating in the various internationally themed activities throughout the fair.

Guests who came out to share in the fun with the cute kids include Amy Tarr, Samantha Yanks, Lucy Guffey, Betsy Cohen, and Stephen Long. The Family Fair, while it might seem like child’s play, is also the CMEE’s biggest fundraiser of the year. Proceeds support the museum’s community programming and enable it to partner with local social service agencies to address issues such as childhood obesity, limited access to early childhood education, low literacy levels, domestic violence, and services for children with special needs. This year’s honorary co-chairs were Edie Falco, Dana Klein, Mark Feuerstein, Mariska Hargitay, Peter Hermann, Kelly Klein, Nick Manifold, Jane Krakowski, Christa Miller, George Stephanopoulous, Ali Wentworth, and Tiffani Thiessen. It looks like fundraising certainly can be all fun and games!
