The Cinema Society hosts a screening of Pedro Almodóvar’s new film

Friday, October 14, 2011

Last night, the Cinema Society and DeLeon Tequila hosted a screening of Pedro Almodóvar’s thought-provoking thriller The Skin I Live In starring Antonio Banderas and Elena Anaya (who also starred in Almodóvar’s Talk To Her). The cast and director, along with composer Alberto Iglesias addressed the audience pre-screening to warn that a glass of wine will be in order after the movie. Though hard to digest, the film kept the audience on the edge of their seats with unpredictable twists throughout the plot.

Moviegoers included Oscar de la Renta, Russell Simmons and Melissa George, Patricia Clarkson, Terry Richardson, Genevieve Jones, Martha Stewart, Charlotte Ronson and Ali Wise. Guests headed to Double Seven for the after-party, where they were treated to an appearance by the material girl herself, Madonna.
