The fabulous Ford on film

Tuesday, October 25, 2011

Fashion documentaries are all the rage these days, ever since The September Issue gave us a glance inside the intriguing world of Anna Wintour and Grace Coddington. Valentino (The Last Emperor), Yves St. Laurent (L’Amour Fou), Bill Cunningham (Bill Cunningham New York) have all had their turns on the big screen. Next up: The notoriously reclusive Tom Ford. Visionaries: Tom Ford follows the designer’s return to women’s wear in 2010 through to the opening of his Los Angeles store this past February. The film includes interviews in which he dishes on why he left Gucci and YSL, his covert acting aspirations, and what he studied at Parsons (it wasn’t fashion!). Check out the trailer below!
