The Hampton Hopper Launches Out East

Tuesday, July 29, 2014

All aboard the Hampton Hopper—a newly launched solution for getting between villages on the East End.

The Hopper is an innovative shuttle service, running a loop between Sag Harbor and Montauk; stopping at popular destinations including Cyril’s and the Surf Lodge. Conveniently, the Hopper’s green busses’ whereabouts can be tracked in real time from a smart phone app—letting users know exactly when they can hop aboard at their closest stop. Hopper services begin at 4 pm on Friday and run until 2 am on Sunday. The first ride is free (with app download) and from there it is $20/day for unlimited rides—also making it an economically savvy alternative for those who rely on car services to get around the South Fork.
