This week’s Washington kerfuffle over immigration policy has led to a flood of Statue of Liberty parodies. AVENUE hereby claims the perhaps-dubious distinction of having offered up the first such parody related to the Donald J. Trump regime. It accompanied the Palm Beach A-List in our January 2017 issue, published before Trump’s inauguration.
