the in crowd at the art of getting by screening

Tuesday, June 14, 2011

The Cinema Society and Alice+Olivia hosted a screening of “The Art of Getting By” which stars the beautiful Emma Roberts and the charming Freddie Highmore.

It seemed like a family affair as step sisters Jessica Capshaw and Sasha Spielberg, Sharon Bush and daughters Ashley and Lauren Bush, Ann Dexter-Jones and daughter Charlotte Ronson, entered the after party at the Thompson LES.

Cinema Society Founder Andrew Saffir and Alice & Olivia’s Stacey Bendet also welcomed an eclectic mix of young Hollywood aside from Roberts and Highmore, such as Abigail Breslin and “Super 8′”s superstar Gabriel Basso and a variety of veterans like Blythe Danner, Eve Plumb, Elizabeth Reaser and Gregg Bello.

Writer/director of the film, Gavin Wiesen, joined a stylish set including Jessica Stam, Dani Stahl, Amy Fine Collins and Marina Rust Connor. Sporting designs from Alice+Olivia was Capshaw, Katharine McPhee, Kelly Bensimon and Shenae Grimes.

In the film, Highmore plays an outsider in a circle of New York’s privileged youth, but last night, it’s safe to say that him and Roberts were both very much part of the in crowd.
