In a couple weeks—on March 18, to be exact—will mark the much-anticipated public opening of The Met Breuer. The new space, to be launched by The Metropolitan Museum of Art, will be dedicated to modern and contemporary art.

To toast to its opening, an exciting party was held on Tuesday night at the museum, located on Madison Avenue and 75th Street. Guests admired art pieces while mingling throughout the evening.

Housed in the landmark building designed by renowned architect Marcel Breuer, the museum will soon be the go-to spot to view the art of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries through a variety of exhibitions, commissions, performances, as well as artist residencies, through The Met’s unique collection. Members of the Met Breuer will have a first look at the space with a special Opening Week, from March 8-13.

Among the notable attendees of the party were Thomas Campbell, Christine and Stephen Schwarzman, Jeff Koons, Aby Rosen, Dr. Samantha Boardman, Judy and Leonard Lauder, Emily Rafferty, and Bill Cunningham.
