    The New York City Ballet Fêtes This Season’s Costume Designers At The Fall Gala

    Last night, the New York City Ballet’s most fashionable patrons arrived the David H. Koch Theatre, dressed in their finest, to celebrate this season’s roster of costume designers.

    The five scheduled ballets are: Christopher Wheeldon’s This Bitter Earth, with costumes designed by Valentino. Peter Martins’ Morgen, costumes by Carolina Herrera. Liam Scarlett’s new work, in collaboration with Sarah Burton of Alexander McQueen. Troy Schumacher’s NYCB main stage choreographic debut, with costumes designed by Thom Browne. And finally, Justin Peck’s world premiere, in partnership with Mary Katrantzou.

    Celebrations began last night with a champagne reception, followed by a performance. The black-tie supper ball was held on the Promenade of the David H. Koch Theatre.

    In attendance were Co-chairs Cindy Chao, Marianne Lake, Jennifer and Trey Laird, and Sarah Jessica Parker. As well as Andy Cohen, Arden Wohl, Mikhail BaryshnikovWendi Deng Murdoch, Jon and Lizzie Tisch, Carmen Dell’Orefice, Lydia Hearst, Amy Fine Collins, Marjorie GubelmannMartha Stewart, and Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump.
