The School of American Ballet: 2014 Workshop Performance Benefit cocktail party and dinner

Thursday, June 5, 2014

On Tuesday, the 50th annual School of American Ballet workshop performance benefit kicked off with a cocktail party at the Peter Jay Sharp Theater on the campus of Juilliard School in Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts. The décor was contemporary and simple with a hint of romanticism.

Guests in attendance included Benan and Tom Ellis, Richard and Elizabeth Miller, George Powell, Lauren Pinto, Fe Fendi, Andrew and Sabrina Perel, and Garfield Miller. After cocktails and socializing, guests enjoyed a dinner and  wonderful performance by some of the schools advanced students.

The crowd shuffled over to the Samuel B. and David Rose building for the aforementioned dinner and performance.  Additional guests included Brynn Putnam, Erica Sheftman, Bud Shulman and New York City Ballet Master in Chief Peter Martins.Following the evening’s program, no surprise that in a room full of some of the world’s greatest and most accomplished ballet dancers and choreographers, the guests flooded the dance floor.

Each year, the School of American Ballet hosts this event to raise funds for the school in various ways. And each year the energy and joy from the students is reverberated to the audience and makes the event a must-see for every ballet lover.
