Alessia Antinori, who seems to be everyone’s favorite vintner, was lauded last night at a dinner at Gabby Karan de Felice’s Tutto Il Giorno in Tribeca. Daniel Benedict and Gianpaolo de Felice (Gabby’s partner in both senses) hosted a lavish, luscious dinner with no less than four pastas, and then…entrees, accompanied by as many Antinori wines. Marchesi Antinori, established in 1385 is Italy’s oldest and most prestigious winemaker, and, after 25 generations of male leadership, Alessia and her two sisters have inherited the mantle. She also oversees the contemporary art installations at Antinori Chianti Classico Winery and supervises the Antinori Art Project.

The dinner was to welcome Alessia to New York, where she will live for a year, spreading the Antonori cheer and good wine. After that, she will return to her Tuscan vineyard, and so will we, as she invited the entire room. This will be a helluva house party as the guests invited included: Cuba Gooding, Jr. Bridget Moynahan, Julianna Margulies and Keith Lieberthal, Zani Gugelman, Donna Karan (who came for cocktails before rushing off to Europe, and told me there will soon be another, new Tutto, but where is still a secret), Ashley McDermott, Harry and Jill Kargman (whose reboot of The Munsters is being produced by Universal and Seth Meyers-who on earth will play the pale, Goth, Mrs. Munster…?), Andrew Saffir, Christie Brinkley, Katie Couric, Jonathan and Lizzie Tisch, Ahn Duong, Emanuele Della Valle, Jennifer Creel, Joshua Bell, Jill Hennessy, Kate Betts and Chip Brown, former AVENUE editor Daisy Prince, and former model Frederique van der Waal, leading an eye-catching passel of genetically-blessed six-footers.
