The Society of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center Holds Special Projects Dinner

The Special Projects Committee of the Society of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center held their Special Projects Dinner on Wednesday, September 28 to honor Dixon Boardman.

The event, which was held at Park Hyatt, began with cocktails at 7:30, proceeded by dinner at 8 o’clock.

In 1969, The Special Projects Committee began of The Society of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center began honoring special projects that were in their earliest stages, and usually too new to receive funding from conventional sources. Their most previous honorees have included Thompson Dean, James G. Given and Stephen C. Sherrill.

Attendees at the event included Dixon Boardman, Arianna Boardman, Samantha Boardman, Annelise Peterson Winter, David Winter, Veronica Beard, Kate Allen, Martha and Matthew Sharp, Lauren and Ted Duff, and Jamie Niven.

Over $650,000 was raised that night to support the groundbreaking cancer research done at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
