A Happening Hamptons House

It’s August—summer is fleeting! Check out the Hamptons Designer Showhouse before it closes over Labor Day. The annual exhibition bring together top designers, each contributing a room. Proceeds benefit Southampton Hospital.

Like a Kid in a Candy Store

If you’re in Sag Harbor for the week, be sure to check out the Sag Harbor carnival. The annual event opens on Tuesday, for five days of good, old-fashioned family fun at the beach.

A New York City Drive-In

The Tribeca Drive In returns to the Westfield World Trade Center this week to showcase the final three movies of its summertime series. Held from August 9-11, the series features Mean Girls on Thursday; Coming to America on Friday; and Elf on Saturday.

A Gilded Gala

Don’t miss Guild Hall’s annual gala, held this Friday at the museum’s Main Street space. The evening begins at 5 p.m. with an exhibition preview of Ellsworth Kelly in the Hamptons, which opens to the public the following day, and continues with cocktails, dinner, an auction and after party. The event honors Judith Hope Twomey.
