Boo at the Zoo!


Staying in town for the long weekend? Head to the Bronx Zoo to check out their annual Halloween tradition. Event highlights include an Oktoberfest-themed area, a haunted pirate hayride adventure and a nature trek.

BAM! BAM!


The Brooklyn art scene is calling. On Tuesday, head to the Brooklyn Academy of Music for this year’s Next Wave Art opening reception. Two exhibitions are on view this year: Moving Body, Moving Study—featuring video works by Freya Powell, Patty Chang and Sable Elyse Smith—and Towards a New Archaeology

A Stormy Evening


Storm King comes to Manhattan for the annual gala and after-party. This year’s event honors James H. Ottawa, Jr. and Sarah Sze.

Hudson River Laughs


On Thursday, Hudson River Park will celebrate its 20th anniversary in a big way. Hosted by Jay Leno, the event will honor Claire Danes, Alicia Glen and Scott Rechler, with a performance by Natalie Merchant.

Small Museum, Big Gala


Celebrate the Rubin Museum at its annual gala. Guests will be able to enjoy the latest exhibit, A Lost Future, a three-part exhibition that challenges existing histories and speculative futures across cultures and in Bengal.
