The National YoungArts foundation will be hosting YoungArts New York, a week-long event running from April 27 to May 3, where more than 100 YoungArts winners will get the chance to showcase their talents through public performances, screenings and exhibitions at MoMA PS1, Baryshnikov Arts Centre and New York Live Arts.

The emerging artists will also get a chance to listen and learn from renowned entertainers, artists and performers, like actor Neil Patrick Harris, writer Joan Morgan and designer Cecilia Dean, through interdisciplinary workshops and intensive master classes.

The winners have been chosen from over 11,000 applicants between the ages of 15 and 18 from across the country. Besides the opportunity to perform and learn, they will also be able to receive cash awards and scholarship prospects, and will join an alumni network that includes some of the most successful and important people in the arts, including: visual artist Daniel Arsham, musician Terence Blanchard, singer Nicki Minaj, author Sam Lipsyte and actress Viola Davis.

The YoungArts Foundation will be hosting an exhibition reception on May 1 at MoMA PS1 along with performances at Baryshnikov Arts Center and New York Live Arts, all of which are open to the public.. Make sure to go and see some amazing work from the country’s most talented youth.
