Tommy Hilfiger’s nephew brings a new salon concept to the UES

Wednesday, July 27, 2011

Entertainment meets beauty on the Upper East Side. Michael Fredo (33-year-old nephew of Tommy Hilfiger) has proven his creative genius in music, and now he’s hitting the beauty scene with a theatrically-inspired salon.

Fredo studied music at Julliard and went on to have a Billboard single and tour with superstars like Britney Spears, Lenny Kravitz and Norah Jones. Now, he’s bringing his creative vision to the Upper East Side–where his salon will feature a piano (for Fredo to perform musical renditions as patrons receive cuts, color, blowouts and make-up applications), a “beauty bar” with a menu of healthy smoothies, and a serenity sculpture with turtles and fish that will keep the kids busy while mom gets pampered.

We hear Fredo even plans to release a new album entitled “Songs from the Salon.”

See you when the salon opens in September!
