Thursday, August 21, 2014

This summer’s cooling phenomena has been one that’s blown up like wildfire across all social media outlets while raising money for a great cause. The Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis Association (ALSA) ice bucket challenge has taken the country by a storm raising money for the organization’s research.

New York’s leading luxury real estate services firm, TOWN Residential is proud to have raised over $7,300 for ALS research. President and chief operating officer of TOWN Residential Jeff Appel was challenged by Brett Solomon to complete the ice bucket challenge. Solomon is the leasing coordinator of TOWN Residential’s Upper East Side office. Appel accepted the challenge then countered it to the firm’s management team.

The ALS challenge has opened the nation’s eyes to this disease since it started. Over $6 million has been raised for ALS research by the ALSA.

Different TOWN Residential leaders have expressed their pride in the company’s tremendous support of the ALSA and its research. They are happy to play their part in helping researchers find a cure.
