Violet Nights: NYU Langone’s Annual Ball

On May 9th NYU Langone’s Violet Ball was held at twilight under the chandeliers and exalted archways of Cipriani 42nd St. More than 850 guests celebrated the medical center’s enduring tradition of preeminence; helping raise over $5.4 million in unrestricted funding that will perpetuate the NYU Langone’s trifold mission: serve, teach, discover.

Honored for years of ceaseless dedication to the cultivation of an evolving medical center were Lori Fink, chair of NYU Cancer Institute Advisory Board and trustee of NYU Langone; and Laurence D. Fink , chairman and CEO of BlackRock, Inc. and co-chair of the Board of Trustees at NYU Langone.
