Warby Parker’s collaboration with Karlie Kloss

Tuesday, June 10, 2014

Earlier today three new style of sunglasses went on sale in stores and online at Warby Parker—officially launching the brand’s collaboration with Karlie Kloss. Yesterday evening they hosted a collaboration launch dinner at Fleurs Bella.

Just like Kloss, Warby Parker’s sunglasses are poised, polished and full of personality. The duo worked hand-in-hand to bring her genuine warmth and go-get-‘em energy to a trio of distinctly feminine classics: Julia, Marple and Clara.

In celebration of their partnership, WP x KK are donating to Edible Schoolyard NYC—an organization that helps public schools build kitchens and gardens where they can teach children, through hands on learning, how to develop healthy eating habits.

The dinner was very floral with a light, natural feel. The comfortable atmosphere welcomed conversation in which guest shared over gourmet intricacy. Some of these guests were two of the founders of Warby Parker Dave Gilboa and Neil Blumenthal, Kimberly and Tracy Kloss, sister and mother of Karlie, Eva Chen, Leandra Medine and Kate Spade.

For every pair of the sunglasses sold a pair will be distributed to someone in need. Donations will benefit two community farm stands in Brooklyn and East Harlem, where kids learn about food preparation in their own neighborhoods.
