WCS Sip For the Sea Event

Wednesday, September 21, 2016

The Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS) made a splash with their fourth annual Sip For the Sea event last Thursday evening. Held at the Central Park Zoo, the celebration raised proceeds to support the New York Aquarium and showcased WCS’s commitment to marine education and conservation locally and around the world.

The festive event featured pairings of sustainable wines and seafood offerings from some of the city’s top restaurants. Guests dined wined and dined while enjoying live music and watching the sea lions feed.

WCS’s New York Aquarium opened its doors to the public in Battery Park in 1896. Since then, the space has been home to an exotic range of aquatic wildlife. This year’s event focused on the future of the aquarium and its projects including ongoing fieldwork done by their marine conservation program, NY Seascape. Cheers to a brighter future for marine wildlife.
