Classical Music, A Museum Party and Other Weekend Ideas

Friday, July 13, 2018

Sometimes it can be hard to figure out what to do over the weekend. In New York and the Hamptons, there are just too many options. Fortunately, AVENUE’s editors have put their collective heads together and come up with a few suggestions, ranging from an avant-garde concert in Brooklyn to a festive gala out East. What unites them all is that they’re worth your time.

Wojnarowicz at the Whitney

In the past few years, interest in the work of late New York artist David Wojnarowicz has skyrocketed. Now, the Whitney has opened “David Wojnarowicz: History Keeps Me Awake at Night,” a stunning retrospective of the artist’s work.

The Whitney Museum of American Art, 99 Gansevoort Street, New York
