Designing the chicest of shoes for It-Girls turned Jessie Randall of Loeffl er Randall into the ultimate It-Girl herself. With a penchant for creating feminine, whimsical, and oftentimes daring designs for the modern woman, Jessie has become New York’s go-to for envyinducing footwear. Though her high-powered career takes up much of her time, Jessie is entirely dedicated to another job she considers far more important—taking care of her three boys and husband, Brian. When warm weather rolls in, Jessie loves to pack up her family and head to the East End for a weekend of sun, surf, and quality time. Here, she reveals
her design for the perfect summer, from cocktails to crafting.

WHAT’S YOUR RELATIONSHIP TO THE HAMPTONS?
My husband and I have been going out there for years now. We’ve rented in the past, but now we have a place of our own out near the beach.

WHAT’S THE FIRST THING YOU DO WHEN YOU ARRIVE AT YOUR HAMPTON’S HOME?
It’s normally nighttime when we get in, so we just try and get everything unpacked as soon as possible. Then we get the kids to bed right away so my husband and I can watch some Netflix together. Right now we’re obsessed with watching Portlandia. It's just so funny, we can watch the episodes over and over again together.

WHAT’S THE BEST THING YOU’VE EVER DESIGNED?
Anything that I can look back on years later and still want to wear. That’s when I know I made something great.

WHAT’S THE BEST PIECE OF ADVICE YOU’VE EVER RECEIVED?
Be authentic to who you are. The things that make you different are the things that make you special.

WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE THING TO DO IN THE HAMPTONS?
Aside from playing with my children and going into town, one of my favorite things to do is to just stretch out in the grass and relax. I also like going to the beach, of course, and doing crafts, but it’s nice to just relax once in a while.

WHAT’S YOUR SIGNATURE DRINK?
Vodka gimlet on the rocks. I love the taste; it’s very light and summery.

WHAT’S ON YOUR SUMMER PLAYLIST?
I actually like to listen to country music in the summer, so I play a lot of old Dolly Parton. Also, on our Spotify playlists, we play a lot of reggae music because we go to Jamaica pretty often. It’s just feel-good music.

WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE WAY TO GET AROUND THE HAMPTONS?
I like to walk, actually. We live pretty close to town, so it’s nice to just walk and be outside in the sun.

WHO’S YOUR FAVORITE DINNER COMPANION?
My kids. I especially love spending time with each of the three one-on-one, which doesn’t happen too often because we’re so busy. My twins are 8 years old and my littlest is 4 and a half.

IF YOU WEREN’T A DESIGNER, WHAT WOULD YOU BE?
I would be a craft blogger. I love to create, to make things with my hands, and to teach myself how to do new things.

WHAT DO YOU WANT TO BE WHEN YOU GROW UP?
A grandmother. I love babies and since I‘m done having my own . . .
