Tuesday, March 29, 2016

An exciting opening event for NYC Big Flea was launched by Domino magazine on January 22, where hundreds of vendors from all over the world showcased their covetable goods, featuring vintage clothing, estate jewelry, fine art, furniture, and other unique finds. Introduced to New York City in 2014, NYC Big Flea received groundbreaking foot traffic with over 10,000 attendees at the inaugural event and became a pinnacle shopping event for the city.

The event held at Pier 90 brought out some of the biggest influencers in interior design and fashion, such as Leslie Banker of Pamela Banker Associates, Celerie Kemble of Kemble Interiors, fashion stylist Ann Caruso, Antony Todd, Gillian Hearst Simonds, Mieke ten Have, Editor at Large of ELLE Décor, and more.

NYC Big Flea occupies 80,000 square feet venue at the Piers and contains millions of dollars of unique collectibles from $20 dollar vintage dresses to fine jewelry valued at over $100,000. Geared towards interior decorators, fashionistas and collectors, the NYC Big Flea also caters to foodies and families by partnering with the indoor food hall Chelsea Market.

The exciting antique market is the largest in Manhattan with some of the most innovative antique dealers in the country and is a sister company of D’Amore Promotions, who has successfully produced the Big Flea in Washington D.C. and Fredericksburg for nearly 40 years. There’s something for everyone’s taste at this indoor treasure trove of hidden gems.
