WSJ. Turns Five!

Monday, September 9, 2013

Anniversary bashes prevailed in the marathon of pre-fashion week parties this past week. Of the more pristine, intimate affairs, WSJ. magazine’s five year fete, held on Thursday evening at the Grill Room The Four Seasons, was the destination of choice for top designers, editors, models, and other industry insiders. Among those toasting EIC Kristina O’Neill whilst supping on caviar and cotton candy (the gastronomic equivalent of high/low, n’est pas?) were Martha Stewart, Terry Richardson, Derek Blasberg, Lauren Santo Domingo, Karlie Kloss, Constance Jablonski, Aurelie Biedermann, Susan Magrino, Glenda Bailey, Reed Krakoff, Scott Currie, Taylor Tomasi Hill, Brooke Garber Neidich and Elisa Lipsky-Karasz.

To mark the milestone, the glossy publication produced its largest September issue to date (which all guests got to take home, natch), complete with two covers: Actress/model Drake Burnette on the Women’s Style issue, and Tom Ford on the Men’s Style issue. And for those longing for a taste of the festivities, mixologist Eben Freeman’s trusty cocktail recipes can be found in the Men’s Issue. We can’t think of a better way to kick off the next five years!
